Need help with brand on pen knife

Post by olderdogs1 »

I need help identifying the brand of this knife. Nice little knife, just can't make out the 1st part of the name. All help appreciated.

I don't know anything about European steel - but I did find this page on a razor that might have a similar stamp:

Tom if it's not Lowe maybe it's another Iowa Cutlery Co. having items made in Germany. There can't be that many of them. Apparently the M.I. dates it to the 1940's.

This is discussion on the M.I. Germany stamp. It may not be from the 40's at all. Wouldn't you think a barber supply / hardware store / or cutlery in Des Moines had the item made in Germany? Would a knife with a fingernail file and cuticle blade be typical for a barber supply business?
