$1.50 utica kutmaster

Post by jonet143 »

picked up real cheap. previous owner used a grinder to sharpen, skipped across both sides of blade. but still a solid old knife. sandpaper, files, no power tools on this one. cleaned blade up, file worked a toothpaste design  , cut a swedge on pile side, bloodwood scales, sharpened it. it's ready for work now. maybe even a little cotton samplin! or cut some hemp. anyway just to show you don't need a lot of fancy equipment.(untill you can afford it! )

Who ever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Johnnie, that is some outstanding work there. I didn't know you could do that kind of stuff.

Wow Johnnie, that turned out really great! ::drool:: ::drool:: Send it on over here to me so I don't have to use my abalone for the work ahead. Cotton season is almost here and I could use that in the fields. Or just keep it in my collection if you don't mind. Really a fine example and great work. No joke.
