I almost pulled the trigger on a cabernet Case canoe but went with a watermelon instead. But yours is so pretty I will probably, eventually, get a cabernet. ::tu::

I'd appreciate knowing the date of the bottom canoe, or anything anyone could tell me about it. It has the numbers "1836" on the master tang on the opposite side from the stamp which has the twins & "J A HENCKELS GERMANY' but it isn't a deep stamp & I can't get a good image of it. "Hand Forged" is etched on the master blade.

Quick Steel, I have a Cabernet bone mint set of two canoes. Got my name picked by CCC and bought these a few years ago. They are gorgeous gorgeous. I would consider selling them if you are interested.
They come in a walnut case.

Pulled these out of the display case to photograph. Garry mentioned Cabernet bone and just thought I would share mine. They are nice. The walnut display case is pretty well done too.

SSK and Geocash, you guys are lighting up this thread!!! ::clapping:: ::tu:: Thanks for showing your canoes!

It's good to see more "canoe canuts" exhibiting their boats!! I love seeing what other canoe collectors have in their collections. ::super_happy:: I've been jokingly accused of ALL of the canoes but I know better. So keep posting your beautiful boats!

Below is one of my favorites. It has been an EDC since the early '90s. It was a gift from my late wife.

Thank you! Don’t you just love that swelled main blade on Boker canoes? I think that is so practical. Makes for a better slicer and cutting blade.

I probably have posted this one here in the past, don't remember, so if its a repeat I apologize. Carrying it today and thats what made me come to this thread to check out the other canoes. It's nothing special, just a Rough Rider that came with smooth white bone handles that I dyed with some dark brown dye for a appaloosa bone look. It is a good knife with a keen edge and nice snap, I'm kinda fond of it. :)

Nice dye job on the bone. Is that a reflection on the blade or did you do something to that blade? Looks cool.

You all liked the Cabernet bone mint set so much, I decided to post some more of my favorite canoes. The first one is a Rogers jigged bone canoe that I fell in love with when I was at SMKW and just had to have it.
The second one is my all time favorite. Also purchased at SMKW. I went looking for this one. Actually I was looking for any of the Ivy bone handled knives. They only had canoes and one other left. I should have bought them out. These Ivy bone knives go for big bucks on eBay, doesn’t matter what the pattern. I find that interesting since these were NOT a limited production run. There must be thousands of them out there and yet they still bring top dollar. If you ever get the chance to buy an Ivy handled CaseXX, do it.
