This little silvery Colonial was one of a bunch that were left when Colonial closed. That is the story.

Thanks QS, my friends mom made the sheath, she also made this one for my daughters Spyderco Maxamet Mule, handled by my friend in Redwood lace. That CC trapper is a beauty!Quick Steel wrote:MM, your mom's effort really makes that sheath pop. Very special.
Still packin the Gerber C475, along with a Trapper from M.S. Jon Christensen, 4500 year old bog oak and mosaic damascus.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Found this around 85 year year old Dwight Devine Ulster cattle knife with MoP handles at an antique show at the Warren Co., NJ fairgrounds at the end of last month. It was in a box of mostly junk knives with a $12 sticker on it. I found two others of interest & the dealer offered to me for $20. All three blades are still in very good shape (altho they have been sharpened) but with great edges...so its been in my pocket ever since...

P.S. I have read on the board many stories about finding the treasured knife in a junk box, but this is the first time it has happened to me!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Treefarmer, woodwalker, Quick Steel... Thanks for your comments. Yes, the MoP scales are in excellent condition. Not even a hairline crack or any chips along the edges, which is why nothing else (such as change, keys, etc.) goes in the pocket that I keep the knife in.
Jdub... Those are swell looking knives to be carrying.
garddogg56... Nice Schrades! Before I found this Ulster, for the past 3 years my EDC's have been Schrades (including my avatar pic).

Hauling brush, carrying this 4” Old Cutler Texas Jack - gift from Philco first year I joined AAPK (still enjoying this knife Phil - thanks!). OH
