Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Wow, that's a nice one for sure Mike. Never had one of those older ones with rough black covers, but they sure look nice.

Thanks for the kind words fellas, I sure appreciate Steve offering up great knives like this at reasonable prices. This is the first knife I have bought in quite some time, but it was really speaking to me.

This Case 61024 1/2 just walked in. It's in pretty good shape. Needs a good clean-up and some totin'.

I am REALLY happy with this ebay purchase. It is a 1979 SR6220 peanut in smooth rose bone. The seller's pictures really didn't do it justice (and neither do mine), and because of that I think I stole it for a bottom feeder price. The seller even threw in a nifty thick cloth sheath! :D

Here's one I bought the other day. A white bone 6375. It's actually a Brooks and Dunn collectable but it's rather understated with no etch on the blade only their longhorn logo as a shield. That's what I like about it.

OK.... here ya go. Some knives I really don't like to make real shiny. This is one of those. I really like the way it turned out.

Really nice job cleaning that one up Mike, looks like a different knife! In the original pics it almost looked like the edge was a little ragged, but apparently that was just age spots, 'cause she looks great now

Wow Mike, super job and not over the top which make it just about perfect. I hate to see the Hollywood stars with all the surgeries, never an improvement. I hate to see honest old knives that are too shiny. That one looks perfect to me. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Thanks guys! Yep, it was hard to tell on the original pics about the edges. There was something on the blades that looked sorta like tar. After that came off and a little steel wool work..... there you have it.
I really like her now. (In my pocket today)

I got this 1984 6207 recently with what appears to be mismatched handle scales. I prefer the mark side to the pile side.

Q, those mismatched handles are quite common for that era Case knife; have or have had several like that myself. My latest, a Case 6279 Stainless Senator. OH

Were all these "consumed from the depths", or did you get tired of bottom feeding and decide to raise your cutlery culinary diet to a higher level?
