A Little Help From The Case Collectors.....Please!

Howdy all!

Today I have a question about a Case Trapper I have. It appears to be a 2000 BLUE Rogers Corn Cob Jigged Trapper...a 6254 pattern. The box is so identified. However, the tang of the spey blade is stamped 5254. Is this fairly common? Maybe just using up whatever is available bladewise??

Any help/input would be appreciated.

oops, they made an error. or, it's the rare blue second cut, jigged sandbar stag version, thus a 5254.

I hadn't considered the RARE BLUE SandBar yet. I'll have to drink...er, ah...think about that possibility.

i may be wrong, but i would bet a dollar to a doughnut, it is a factory error and that a stag blade got mixed in with the wrong bunch. that would be my guess but shirley boser at case should be able to tell you for sure.

It won't be worth millions, but it is fun to have a factory error knife! Some people collect them. I'm sure that's what it is!! ::tu::

Well, it's obvious to me that somebody took that nasty old stag off of it and replaced it with incredible blue bone.
A life without pocketknives is dull and pointless.
