Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Thanks GS. I am far, far, behind other BD collectors we have here. Mine is a very small collection. But I am learning, and my bank account is squealing. Early on I was estimating that perhaps the later generation BDs were a bit better done than some of the early ones. But with more 1st generation knives I am finding some truly remarkably well done knives. First rate in my view.

Thanks Paul for the infoKnifeSlinger#81 wrote:The swayback jack is the same size as the gent. The jack is a well sized relatively small knife that doesn't feel too small to be useful, and it just flat looks good.

I'm a pretty good sized guy but I'm very satisfied with the size of the Jack. My sweet spot is 3" - 3-5/8". Anything in there is good by me.doglegg wrote:Jerry, in reply to Dave, does the Swayback Jack fill the hand pretty good? Mine have a secondary blade so they call it a 'Swayback Jack'. Gotcha. Well made knives. I like 'em. The Mini-Copperhead is a little small for my taste and yet, I still have a couple of them. Go figure.
In fact, here's a 3½" Case Small Saddlehorn I got in today. My first Saddlehorn that I kept and I'm quite pleased with it, both looks and heft. Love the horseshoe shield.

Yesterday the mail man brought a Copperhead that I got from Q's recent sale. An absolutely beautiful knife. Amber bone and CV. It looks good, it feels good, I am pleased. Thanks Q for a great knife and price.

Great bones doglegg. Great group FFF.
Found this old Camillus with the 2 crossed swords stamp in the mailbox. Blades seem practically full although the sharpening if you call it that was dubious and significant pitting on the flats of both blades and the spring. But other than that it's in pretty good shape. Great stout snap and nice action. Solid old knife. Going by BForums stamp ID it's 1941-46. I don't have any other WW2 years tools so that's kinda cool. Doesn't look used much. Love the bones too, maybe not what you would call well matched, but what exceeds that is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet color on both sides, if the color and differences are good I don't mind at all. Under clouds, then sun, close ups of the damage.

I am trying to get all of the Case patterns from the dot era. I got this little 10 dot 1116 SP budding knife off of AAPK Knifeaholic. Don't really see many of them and this one is dead mint.
