Here's a big equal end #53 Muskrat I picked last week. These are pretty impressive knives on this frame. It's similar to a Case 94 frame.

kj, love that ivory French Kate. I took some brass cup hooks, did a little bending and filing and now they stand up like they should

Where's the Rendezvous? Would have loved checking it out. Everything you nabbed is sweeeeeeeeeeet, all beauties, eye candy. Congrats and I would love to know what they went for at something like that, but I wouldn't ask.

At the GEC factory in Titusville PA. They have it every August and make special knives for it, the orange bone 15 and emerald bone 81 are both 1 of 9 made, they sell pretty close to what the original run sold for.

Got this group from Scott. The small little black handled one marked Crown Cultery, Czechoslovak. I know nothing about it but like the tang stamp origin. The Goat Brand is an India company. I like them both as they are common knives that the average Joe would buy and use. The Colonial is the same type of knife and is the yapa that Scott always throws in. And I just liked the bone/antler/ivory zipper pull. Thanks Scott

Neat ! DL, i am similar in that i like almost any well made knife that still works. I find them just as interesting as the expensive minty collectibles we usually post.

Got this Amherst knife off of BF. Amherst was a company from Amherst Ohio. The owner of the Company was an importer and seller of fossilized mamoth ivory and sambar stag and other things used in knife scales. He says that the knife is totally USA made and only the scales were imported. But alas, did not make it as a manufacturer. It is a large trapper measuring 4 in closed. No tang mark just a blade etch. The scales are mamoth ivory. Seems like a very solid knife.

Amherst Cutlery: unfinished knives from China, then hafted by Pappy of Amherst Cutlery with some of his fine handle material. This was the outcome of a scam pulled on BF about 10 or so years ago. The knives were well made, true quality, but not a real custom which is how they were presented by 'Pappy'.
