I have seen these at a few places, anywhere from $40-$80 for the same knife(no MOP handles at this price). These are in a box with a note that Parker found the old parts, and had them assembled, and guarantees their value. the faux tortiseshell tuxedo look cool to me, any idea what a good price would be? are they good for EDC duty? can't seem to find any info online or here in reference to the newer ones, any info greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have four of the knives your talkin about,two cattle whittlers and two cattle knives w/leather punch blades.the imitaion pearl and the stag i paid 60 and 70. the buffalo horn and the winterbottom bone stag were 80 bucks.jim parker had them put together in germany and was willing to pay 10 percent more then the purchase price after one year and 20 percent more after two yrs. in mint condition. i don't know what the purchase price was at the time. which was before 1990 and his purchase of case.so they are not new,new old stock maybe and they are just starting to surface some. buzz parker, aka silverladdie could tell you alot more about them .i can shoot you his email addy if ya want,he has always been very helpful to me ,he is a busy,busy guy though.it's been over a year since i asked him bout these here knives. i may be wrong on the date they were put together. might be older,i'm pretty sure we're talkin bout the same knives though.if you get one in your hand you'll see they are top of the line knives.very well made.they are kinda big and thick for me to carry everyday and in my opinion too nice to use.least these big ol cattle knives anyway.the inside of the boxes mine came in are felt lined and just like the case classic boxes w/ a smaller version of the classic coa's.which is kinda nice cause you ain't gotta fold em to keep em in the box like classics.kinda makes me believe parker intended them for collectors.i know i liked mine a whole bunch soon as i pulled them out and got one in my greedy lil hands.like i said though i could be wrong on thier age.thats everything i got in my nutshell bout em.hope it helps ya somewhat.

I have a few of these knives; they are well made. For the price I try to pick them up; when I run across them. They supposedly came from the Krusius Brothers Factory; that was closed in the 1960s, and were put together in Germany. I ask Mike at CollectorKnives.Net; about the age and was told that it was in the last 10 years or so. I got a genuine pearl cattle knife from him; that has some of the best pearl that I have seen, bar none. It doesnt show in the photo; but it has a lot of fire.

There are some Simmons Hardware Hornet knives; that make the same claim, and are also well made. The stockman has some great pearl, again the photo doesnt do it justice. I picked up; a nice little Christmas tree handle knife, a Gazelle that has a Krusius tang stamp.

I really like the buffalo horn. i see one or two in your line up. nice knives.can't beat the fit and finish on these babies either.did you get the coas w/yours w/jim parkers signiture? boxes?

toe cutter I got the COAs; but the boxes are just standard Parker boxes. I like the horn also; and have several different knives with it.

them pearls are nice, but i had a nice case classic crack accross the handle after i took it out of a cold mich mailbox , watched it crack right in front of my eyes as it warmed up in the house.after that i started liken the horn more.spent a year sendin that knive everywhere to get it re-handled.bluegrass, queen, case. then forensic jim hooked me up w/muskratman, he is puttin the whammy on that puppy for me now.not pearl but some real perty wooly mammoth ivory, it has no pattern numbers so the ivory will be just dandy.plus i've never sold a knife, gonna leave em all to my son and two year old grandson(what ya think them ol knives will be worth when hes 50 ) and now i don't have to hide it in the sock drawer no mo. it came real close to becomin a harley motorcycle gasket scrapper in my shop..

kinda funny i get a display case of knives out and my grandson makes the same oooohs and aaahh noises as i do when i get em out when i'm alone and look at em.

Thanks, makes me feel better about buying something I know only a little about. Still catching up on my Queen/S&M knowledge, which is severly lacking, but growing with each new purchase

in 1997, jim parker bought the factory inventory of gronaur, who owned weidmansheil cutlery. mr. gronaur bought the krusius bros.(manufacturer of shapleigh and other contract brands) estate with many unfinished knives and parts in 1983 this is where a lot of parker's "warehouse" finds came from. jim parker took advantage of his situation and built and sold these knives.

I want some of that also; I have one knife with that material. But I want a big knife (4+") with the Mastodon bark ivory. I did not know; that pearl would react that much to a temperature change. I am going to check; with MuskratMan when I find the pattern, that I want to use.

I have a eleven year old Grandson; that is going to get mine. As for what they will be worth; who knows since Ebay came along. I can't believe the amounts; that they are going for. I bought a mint large Case stag congress at a show in Knoxville; around 1990 for $150. One just sold on Ebay for over $700; that is a heck of a return.

I don't believe this is a problem common to pearl scales in general. After lookin at it under an enlargement glass , it appeared to have had a problem goin on w/the pearl to start with.although it was insured, i did"nt feel right about collecting on it. because pearl is so fragile and i wanted the pins and shield when done , no one would mess w / re-handling it w/pearl. I had already decided on the wooly beast fang before i found muskratman, when i looked at his work i knew i had the right man . i'm very impressed w/him and his knife working skills.

jody, you can't really go wrong w/them schatts or others made by queen. thats why there are so many knife companies having them make em.Did you know queen made the case classics for parker under commission of blue grass cutlery ? I had bout fiddy classic whittlers for i learned case did'nt make em

. the pearl job i've been yakin bout is a case classic 83 whittler.
