Having only ever owned a grand total of exactly one (1) Schrade knife my entire life, I wouldn't know what characteristics identify (or disqualify) a Schrade built knife...but I am curious to know why you don't think it's a Schrade, Paul. I don't know how to put it into words, but it just does not have "the look". Having many many schrades they have become familiar to me and I can usually identify them without looking at a tang stamp. It looks schrade, but I know for sure that it is because those were stamped schrade on the back side of the main blade. I don't know where they sourced that bone or if they even jigged it themselves. Yes. They actually have a number of NOS camillus knives that I recently discovered were there. They probably have about two more full boxes of 72's. It's about the only mom and pop type of hardware store that I know of around here. I was out at the flea market with my sister today. Boy, I was striking out. Of course, she was doing well. She collects anything penguin, and was finding all kinds of stuff. I was beginning to think I'd get skunked, and then I happened upon a table where the guy had a cigar box full of knives. Most of them were those pakistani dymondwood ones, but as I dug deeper, I found a few nice ones. I picked out the ones I liked and asked how much for all of them. He said $15. I couldn't get the money out fast enough while trying to be cool.
