This Brought A Tear To My Eye.......

Boys.....something wonderful and sweet happened today. My dear, dear wife of two years, who has been with me for five years said something to me today that would make a grown man melt. I guess all the flea markets, knife guide books, swap meets, garage sales and websites that she has looked at with me has paid off big time. I was looking at a few knives in a showcase at an indoor flea market, she walked up to me and asked if I had found anything cool, I was holding a FAKE Case 5488. The guy was asking $150 for it. I didnt give her a look or anything, she looked at the knife.....ran her fingers across it, opened all the blades and then looked at me and said "This knife is not right, tang stamp looks bad and the stag is not of that era" My jaw dropped and I went to one knee and asked her to marry me all over again. She smacked me on top of the head and said to get up...lol. I know now that im a "knifer lifer" Not many wives could pick up on a fake pocket knife and most dont even get involved in their husbands "stupid hobbies" I love her more today than ever!!! You also gotta love a woman that goes to yard sales in the summer and knows a good knife from a bad one and picks them up for you when shes out. Its a great thing when you are at the dinner table and she says "oh by the way I picked you up a handfull of knives today, let me get my purse"

I too would fall to my knees if my wifer lifer would do as much as buy me a FAKE KNIFE or even a China made knife. I would jump up and roll over and wag my tail all the way to the bed room.

HI Gang!

I just need to jump in on this one. My wife is right up there with all the good ones. She puts up with my nevering ending desire to learn more and own ever interesting knife that crosses my path. She goes to shows and every antique mall from here to TN and back. We travel together a lot and she has things that she collects too, but nothing to the intense level that I do. She stands at knife shows and looks interested and listens to me ramble on to all the vendors. Then gets to listen to all over again on the way home. She puts up with me on the computer for hours researching and talking like I am now. Folks, without her, there isnt' a me. She is a saint to put up with all of my knife work, besides our interest in judging dogs, and showing Cardigan Welsh Corgis at AKC shows across the USA. Someday check out our web site. Here's another good story . . .

My MOM and my wife (my mom was visiting from out of state) went to a lady's apartment with me the other day who was selling a collection that was left to her by her late father. While her and my mom and wife were rambling on, I checked out the knives and made her an offer. She hemmed and hawed, and finally agreed to the terms. She looked a bit sad, so my ever-lovin' mother says, "Are you happy with this deal, Suzie?" and Suzie paused, then said, "No, not really." You see, my mom's very helpful and always helping others . . . after talking to her and finding out about all her life's problems, wanted me to pay her more!

After the deal went down, I called my mom and said, "You are NEVER going to buy knives with me again!"

Regardless, my wife and mom are BOTH saints to put up my constant knife searching, book buying, and entire bedroom of my house with knives laying all over it.

Okay - I have to add my story too. My wife knows nothing about knives, but she tolerates me. I always have a knife in my pocket (or two)...and whenever she or anybody else needs one when we are out, she asks me if she can borrow my "machete" - cracks me up.

Oh, did I mention that she golfs and fly-fishes too.....as I always say to people, if she could cook and iron- it would be a perfect marriage.

that's awesome, my g/f will go with me to all the shows and flea/antique markets, and even bid on ebay for me at times. bought me 2 S&M premiers for valentine's, its' great to have that support and understanding.

Just rub it in, or shove it in, it is more painful if you push kinda slow, hey the right spot is just between the second and third rib on the left for a quick kill, but you guys dont want to do anything fast hey lets just give it anothere twist.
