I have had a few Henckels and they seemed to be a decent knife for the money. We have a Henckels kitchen knife set and it is great. It sure makes cutting and peeling much easier.

I have a few Henckels and they seem fine German made blades for the $$. Steel sharpens good and holds an edge. Read where they have discontinued their line of pocket knives and concentrating on their line of kitchen cutlery alone. Some of their kitchen knives are made in Spain.

Seems you did good on that price. I have seen that Henckels style go for a bit more.

I bought one of the same knives recently, I had a deal also, not as good as that one though, as mentioned by BluesK Henckles are just in the market selling their kitchen cutlery. These later Henckles knives were made by Boker Germany so they come from excellent stock, If you can compare the Henckles with a Boker knife, they are very similar.
