Dimitri - Somehow I don't mind the patina and stains when the blades are full, snap & are tight and the handle covers are in decent shape - of course always nice to find it as a properly stored "sleeper" with just a sweet gray patina but that doesn't happen all that often - and I'm not telling you anything you didn't know long before me...
BTW Dimitri - I know you're not out of knives but I imagine like me it is a matter of more photos and accordingly time - I can relate![]()
But speaking of jigged bone harness jacks - here's a Waterville Harness Jack with jigged bone - no doubt also used but not terribly abused...

I really need to buy a camera, I haven't taken a picture of my knives in three years!
That's a fine Waterville Harness Jack !

Beautiful and exceptional wharncliffe folder Joe! I agree those jigged bone handles are exceptional! They look, especially the mark side, to have been carved out of caramel—really pretty

Re: Knives Made Before The Year 1960
Roger - Those are all lovely hunters
... the etch puts them over the top
Thanks Dimitri
... I have a soft spot for the Watervilles
.... We need to get a camera in your hands
...
and speaking of Watervilles - I guess Joe heard us
Joe - Great looking Waterville Wharncliffe
- but my favorite Waterville of yours is that old whittler with the sheepsfoot master (if I remember right) but I clearly remember the blades had a few different Waterville stamps and long pulls through the tang
I know you first showed it 2-3 years ago
Thanks Dimitri

Joe, great knife! They are hard to find with full blades
Lee, I am looking to buy a camera but I am undecided on which one. I want something that takes great close up pictures
Here's a Waterville I do have a picture of.....

Fantastic array of old knives from Dimitri, Lee, Roger and Joe!
Mine have all been previously posted over the years, but are some of them.
