Case Tested Dr Knife on Ebay

Post by mdr2020 »

This seller has several doctor's knives for sale. I would appreciate it if some of you would check this one out and let me know what you think:

It looks good to me, but your feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a 6285 kinda, I want to say the shield is a open "C" also the pen blade in front of the master is somewhat unusual, both blades tang stamped on a tested knife is not the norm. All this IMO. It is pretty!

Personally, the knife just doesn't look right, from the bone to the blades and stampings. Me thinks it's bogus!

Thanks for the responses. If anyone happens to have a 6285 they could post pictures of that would be great.

heres one from the same seller however it is a longpull on the masterblade..

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Case-Tested ... dZViewItem

look at the shield ( the C should be more of a circle)
and the side of the knifenail nicks are on..looks like the big blade would be hard to open without opening the little blade first..
seems like at the very back of the blade or the bottom of the tang---looks like it is cut at an angle from where it would meet the back spring and go down to the pin

i would say its a big o fake
::td:: but the seller has got some niceuns on there to IMHO
