Still haven't managed to take an individual photo of this knife, but thanks to Gino here is my latest Case acquisition (and first humpback pattern). It's a first production run but I can't see it sitting in its box inside a safe... What a perfectly-sized and pocketable knife. I think I might have a new favorite medium stockman pattern.

Now, to get a humpback whittler.

A high school graduation gift and "You're in the Army now." gift for my youngest grandson. Yes, I did try to persuade him to join the Corps but as long as he's happy with his decision, I guess I'll have to be happy with it too. He graduates May 23rd and ships for Basic Training June 4th. He's finally going to get that haircut I've been giving him grief about for the past 3-4 years.

Ran the knife over to an old Marine jeweler acquaintance of mine as soon as it showed up. He's going to engrave Jayden's initials on the mark side bottom bolster.

Jerry, glad you found an engraver to personalize that knife. I'm sure it is going to be a huge hit, and it is truly a great little auxiliary knife for a soldier.

Thanks, Steve! It's a 3-blade stockman. Spear master, sheepsfoot and spey secondaries, all stainless. I get the love for this frame now after having carried it once already.

Case also made this pattern in a 3-blade whittler and I'm sure any number of variants I'm not yet aware of.

I've always seen them and loved the lines of the frame and how the blades are seated. I was a little concerned how it would feel in hand but now that I've toted my stockman I can see it's really a good pattern. If I can track down a whittler in a favored handle style with CV blades I'll probably have no choice but to buy it.
