Legitimate Queen etch?

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen an etch like this on a Queen knife? I bought the knife off Ebay because it had a Buy it Now and I thought the price was too good to pass up, if the knife was original. Everything about the knife looked good, except that I had never seen this etch on a Queen. Any thoughts?

hope you don't mind, a little lighter to see the etch better. can you show the rest of knife?

Here is a picture of the whole knife. I think it's pattern number is 10. I don't have the knife in hand yet so I don't know anything about the tang stamp, if any.

Some of the older ones had a Queen Cutlery etch instead of the more common Queen Steel etch. I feel sure the knife is correct.

Thanks for the opinion. I also think the knife is original (having already purchased it, I sure hope so!), but that etch is one I have never seen and it did give me a little pause, then I thought, "Why would someone go so far as to fake a knife that is not that popular, put a fake etch on it and sell it for $45?". I didn't have time to really research it, so I just went with my gut feeling.

Yeah, it seems to be a dead ringer. I think it's a pattern #10, which is not uncommon, that's why I felt like it was authentic, the shape of the blade, the bone, the general construction, everything, if fact, except that darn etch, which I have never seen before and is unlike every other Queen etch I HAVE seen (not that I've seen that many). I'm hoping that somebody will have seen this etch before and that it is an authentic Queen etch since that's the main reason I bought it so quickly without any research or knowledge. From my experience, I don't think that most were etched.

That knife is authentic and so is the etch...its a pre-WWII to mid 50's example with Rogers bone handles and 1095 carbon blades. If you look at the old catalogs, Queen made two lines starting in the post WWII years - Rogers bone handles and 1095 carbon blades, and Winterbottom bone handles and "Queen Steel" 440C stainless blades. They called Winterbottom bone "Frontier" bone in the catalogs. The Queen Steel knives almost always had etches but I have only seen a few of the 1095 knives etched.

Thanks for the input, I was pretty sure the knife was authentic but it is certainly nice to hear it from someone who has seen the etch before.
