Case Cheetah 9 dot (???)

I am nearly 100% possitive that what I have is a 9 dot cheetah. (1971) I have been under the assumption that there are no 8 dot stag cheetahs. Taking into consideration that I can only see 8 dots on the knife it would lead me to beleive that infact this is a 9 dot. Also, the 10 dots didn't have a patter number on the blade...(right?) Anyways, here's a photo of the knife. Great forum you guys have here, lots of good info here! Good to be here.

You are right on all counts, there are no 8 Dot Cheetah's. However, there is a large and small stamp version of the 9 Dots. You have a large stamp. There's no difference in value.
