Greg I would agree. Ebony does it for me. I like honey bone(?) but the ebony is my favorite. And that is a great looking shield.gsmith7158 wrote:jlw257 wrote:Greg, Ike it

XxTestedxX,
I am new to collecting Case knives. I have never seen a Clasp pattern in person. Yours looks terrific! It also appears to be HUGE. I bet it weighs a ton and would require a tight belt to pocket carry it.
When was it made? Thanks.

While I don't care for the hawkbill pruner pattern, I can certainly appreciate great looking bone.
That there, John, is some absolutely gorgeous bone!!

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
I know this is just personal preference but I'll take a knife with red bone handles like JohnR's over any stag handled knife you care to show. That bone is just fantastic.

That clasp knife and the hawkbill are both spectacular! I could gaze upon their beauty for hours if time allowed...mesmerizing.

I hope the Catt stone is appropriate for this page considering it’s a case family brand

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
This is a Case Tested XX 61215 1/2 that is 5" closed. Note the mark says only "Case" and omits the "Tested XX" part. The pattern number is marked on the back of the tang. Handles resemble Rogers jigging.
I'm curious to learn if anyone thinks (or knows) that Schrade made this pattern for Case.

That's really nice Jerry. My Remington looks just like yours, same pin placement and schrade made it. Blades look the same also.

Thanks Keith. Your knife if is a R2403 right? It's a beauty. I'm not surprised to see the similarity.
