I wanted to share this Challenge Cut Co Whittler that I actually scored a few years ago but realized never took photos… The knife is 3” closed and sports 2 pen blades which is a bonus – all blades are hard snapping and tight. This jigged bone tip bolstered knife was apparently a salesman sample but through the years I guess it was handled and the blades etc have some staining and the salesman ink is worn or light but visible (ie, not exactly mint) – that is the result of grimy oily fingers handling the knife and not being cleaned afterwards – maybe and perhaps lightly used but doesn’t appear to ever have been sharpened. I imagine salesman would let potential buyers handle the knife and perhaps demonstrate cutting etc . . As an aside the price was extremely fair and didn’t take into account at all that it was inked. The knife has a full etch. The salesman ink if you look closely is 3446/135 – and a 1925 catalog cut (below) shows this knife and indeed the pattern # is 3446. Lots of photos to show the knife and thanks for looking!

Nice score Lee.I have several etched Challenge knives and like them all.You may want to edit your post to bone instead of MOP.
