Today I received one I really like. It is a Camillus 862 "Gambler" Silver Sword executive lockback. I'm showing it here alongside the much larger 864 "Marshall" Silver Sword I picked up a while ago. I like the Silver Sword knives - they are very solidly built.

It is over-compensation for the beloved Buck 506 "White Knight" that I lost several years ago.

Here is an old war horse that came from TripleF's pile.
I'm pretty sure it is a #10 pattern, heavy jack w/clip. It has the Queen City tang stamp in script. It has 1/2 stops on both blades and after a little clean up both blades snap like the proverbial gator! The black handle material shows some wear as well as evidence that the knife had been used as a make shift hammer.
Tried to get most of the light rust pits out of the steel bolsters and there is some ugly marks on the pen blade from a file or concrete block.
The clip had a little wrinkle in the edge right below the nail nick that had to be removed.
I may carry this one for a day or two but it probably deserves a rest as the stamp indicates it is between 73 and 81 years old.
I do love HOKs!

Here's my latest knife a Bulldog from the AAPK store and fellow forum member Bdev. A great knife, For the longest time I didn't like etching on blades, but for some reason the Bulldogs with the full etched blades really appeal to me.

ss69. Congratulations on your very good looking knife. I am partial to Bull Dogs and I too had to develop an appreciation for their blade treatments.

Treefarmer, I think we do a service to humanity when we "save" an HOK. Sure, we all lust after the mint unicorns that spent the last 80 years sitting in their box surrounded by their original paper, but the HOK are "real" knives, with real experiences in their history. They lived and worked in a world that no longer exists. I think anything that has survived for several generations should be honored and appreciated. BTW, that also goes for some AAPK members...

Veery nice. I am always drawn to colorful scales as a break in the routine from the more somber bones, stag etc.

~Q~ was considerate enough to let me have it for what he had in it and besides, it's one of the Wharncliffe varieties. How could I pass it up?

Ivoryman that Lick Creek Farmer's Jack is a beautiful knife.
Ken I like both of those. Don't know what you paid for the Blackjack but I do know it would work in my pile.
Hope you are feeling better now. Flu sux.
