Post by Luckypaul777 »

With all of the experts at AAPK; I know someone can tell me, the price of a 1980 Case stag 5375, brand new in 1980. Thanks.

Hmmm...there was no 5375 made in 1980....unless it was an SFO.

Ok...makes sense now. I don't have a 1970 price list, but the retail price was probably about $10 or $11.

I do have a 1964 price list...then it was $8.50

I don't know if this would be of any help or not, but I bought a new bone handled swing guard (Cheetah) from the hardware store, in 1969, for
$12.00.

Why didn't I buy; a bunch of these knives back then. :( I can't believe what these are going for now on Ebay. I have just started collecting again; big difference in the prices, but that was before Ebay. In 1992 at a show in Knoxville; I picked up, a mint Case stag large congress for $150 and a pristine mint black box, XX stag Bulldog for $110.

And for the Case Classics; seemed that no one wanted them, in the early 1990s. A green bone XXX gunboat; just went for $555 on Ebay. ::mdm::
These prices; makes it kind of hard to accumulate a decent collection.

I sold my collection to Jim Parker; in the mid 90s, sure wish that I had held on to them. :x
