Well guys here is the update on my CZ 455 Varmint
I zeroed in at 25 yards using Eley 40 gr. Target ammo
The action is short and smooth
The trigger is at 2lbs. and crisp
Shooting at Silhouette Animals without a miss
This gun is a great addition to my collection
Very pleased with the performance and looks of this Rifle.
I decided to replace the scope with a NIKON 3x9x40 Rimfire
Fantastic optics

Glad you are pleased. And it shoots as well. And it looks good. I shoot mostly CCI standard vel. in mine. Good purchase.

Spring has definitely arrived in my part of the world. this afternoon I walked around my garden (otherwise known as my back yard) and took a few photos of various blooming plants. It is just a fine time of year outside when the sun is shining and the bees are buzzing in the blueberries. I have a dozen blueberry bushes and a few fig, dwarf pear and citrus trees: today was the kind of day to just pause and appreciate how lucky I am to be able to live the kind of life that I do. I spent a while just smelling the citrus flowers - they have a very strong sent compared to most fruit trees, in my opinion. But then I moved to the pear. I have always felt that the flowers of the pear are one of the very finest scents of all the flowers, more subtle than some but just perfect to my senses. The fig has no flower to sniff, but the afternoon sun on the tree brings out a unique smell that I would not call pleasant but that I love when I walk past a tree. The herbs - I love so much to pinch a leaf of Rosemary, Sage or Basil or Mountain Mint as I walk through the garden. I think that the experience of smells is the most neglected of our senses!

Here's a little more evidence that spring is on the way:

These lilies are on the south side of our house. We had frost this morning and supposedly 2 more chances of frost this week.

Just hope the pears and Satsuma make it through these last gasps of winter! The pecans nor the grape vines show any interest is showing any signs of life, yet.

It'll be a while yet before the patio gets used and the bog lake in the back yard opens up. We likely will get more snow before this melts. ___Dave

Thanks for the comments, fellows. Dave, I prefer my backyard to yours right now! Treefarmer - Flowers are looking very fine. We should be at pretty much the same stage of spring. In two months I will be cursing the heat, but right now the Gulf Coast is a beautiful collage of flowers and birds.

Beautiful county, can! Thanks for sharing from another part of the world! I'm afraid I couldn't navigate all those mountains. Being an old man plus always having lived in the flat lands of Florida, I wouldn't know how to act!
What kind of deer are in your part of the world? I guess the chamois is similar to a goat, all we have in the Florida Panhandle are whitetail deer and lot's of wild hogs. Here are a couple of deer that posed for the game camera recently:

I look forward to pictures of the game you harvest. My son lived in Freiburg Germany for 3 years and almost all the castles we saw while visiting were in ruins, but fascinating . We visited Colmar a couple of times. Great gun shop there.

Took the kids camping this week....top pic shows them about to sip their pine needle tea......so adventerous!!

Then had archery class at the park today.
Kids loved it, and I took one shot.....and decided after my bullseye in the bullseye dead center I couldn't do any better so I stopped!

Took my new CZ 455 VARMINT to the range today,
First two shots were 3’’ low of center
Next three in same hole bullseye
Used Winchester 40gr 22lr

Very pleased with this gun and its proformence

Sitting in the airport in Austin, waiting on my flight to Raleigh and home. Tried out a little Texas style hog hunting last two days; ended successfully last night. OH

Pretty country, different from what I’m used too - that’s why you take trips! Lots of ranch animals ambled by while we were hunting. Old, derelict truck was my first stand on this ranch. OH

Bruce, you blew her heart away! That's one of those delicacies. Great pictures! Boy that old red cow has a fine set of horns! Like them big Texas bucks, I wonder how they get through the junk?
