HELP w Pelikan knife

This little knife was part of my late father’s estate, and I am wondering if anyone can help me identify it. He lived in England.

It is small (2 1/2” x 3/4”) with a single blade and a file blade. The tang stamps are - rostfrei stainless Solingen Germany” on the blade and “R” on the file. File has 2 grooves on one side and broad file on reverse. The engraving looks to be an older version of the “Pelikan” pen logo - which is based in Germany.

I am guessing it was maybe a promotional item for the pen company, but would be thrilled if anyone can help with suggestions and anything on who might have made the knife.

Not much help here, please check your spelling. It is marked Pelikan. Check www.pelikan.com writing instruments. Possibly a gift item?

Even though it is marked Solingen Germany I would be willing to bet it was made in Italy by Latama or one of the other makers in Maniago. The style is very reminiscent of their work with the engine turned handles and square kicks on the blades. I have a bunch of manicure knives that are very similar to the pictured knife.
