I like that tiny fixed blade.TripleF wrote:Spent the weekend in Tampa holding......decided to deliver today as opposed to Saturday
Ha! I'm in a similar situation, but different. I have one knife on the way that should arrive either tomorrow or Thursday. It's the last knife I intend to buy for a couple months. I'm excited about getting it but on the other hand, I wouldn't mind too much if it took a day or three longer to arrive as I won't have anything to look forward to after that.TwoFlowersLuggage wrote:You know, I don't think I have ever said this before, but I'm kind of hoping the purchases I made in the last week kind of spread out a little bit and don't get delivered all at the same time. Having a pile of 4 or 5 small padded envelopes and boxes all arrive on the same day just leads to questions I would rather not have to answer.![]()
I never thought I would be hoping for the USPS to slow down a little...
It's not a financial decision or even a necessity of any kind. I just feel like I need to slow down as I've been getting a little carried away lately. My plan is to focus on selling a few instead of buying a few. I enjoy selling too although not as much as buying. It helps feed the fever a little bit and still keeps me active.kootenay joe wrote:" It's the last knife I intend to buy for a couple months"
What happens if during these 2 months you see a very special knife, say a GEC Whaler with ivory handles and a BIN of $300 ? Wouldn't you HAVE to buy it ? It's probably worth 3-4 x the asking price.
If you are truly serious, best to not look at knives on ebay until the 'cease buying' directive is dropped.
