This is not so much a knife...I happened upon this on Craigslist. I thought I better snatch it up...

Is that the CF Roundhead? I've already got a ram's horn from the first run and none of the other handle materials really tickled my fancy, but I had missed out on the reservation for the CF and no standby ever came up.

It looks good but for what they were asking I don't know if I would have pulled the trigger. They claim the grind is better on the second run Roundhead, but the only difference I can see is the choil. If Lionsteel produces one with mammoth, now, I could probably be moved to put my money down.

Yes, it's the White Carbon Fiber from the second run. I waited too long and missed out on the regular Carbon Fiber. I decided to pull the trigger on Friday morning when the only Carbon Fiber left was the White.

My timing was good for a change. My employer frowns on us making online purchases on our work computers so I went home on my lunch break just so I could make the purchase from my own desktop at home. (Don't own a smart phone) I didn't get the last one but when I checked the website an hour later they were gone. I would have missed out if I had waited until after work.

I actually wanted the regular Carbon Fiber but it might have been a blessing in disguise that I hesitated. I'm delighted with the White stuff and the knife itself is of exceptional quality.

The mail box gave up these. An orange Rough Rider Stockman and a Boker [The Great American Story series]. Both very good quality, sharp and tight.

Ulster pearl whittler found at an auction. Although the blades are scratched, I really like their shape, and the overall fit/form of the knife:

Two Queens today.

A 47 swell center and a 28 English Jack. Both with Winterbottom bone.
The 47 dates to around 1950 and the 28 early 60's.

I got a pretty good deal on a GEC Congress - never been a big fan of the Congress, but this much slimmer half Congress really agrees with me. Crisp Half stops on both blades - I don’t have many GEC’s but the fit and finish of this one is darn near perfect. I think the half Congress May become a favorite pattern ...

Well, just..... dog doodoo I guess.

I finally get a few new "sharp and pointies" in, unbox them, break out the old camera, take a few pics and... ????

Wait, a minute!!! Where's that damn little wire that goes from my camera to my computer to get the pictures onto my computer??

I have now spent 5 or 6 HOURS looking for that silly thin little wire and can't find it anywhere.

I know I didn't throw it away. I just had it not 4 days ago downloading other pictures (gardening related). It can only be in the den, my bedroom or the office, but it's not.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it a standard micro or mini USB? If so, then it doesn't have to be the original cable, any similar cable from from a phone or whatever will probably work. General rule of thumb: If it fits in the hole, it will work.

Wayne, I feel your pain. Just the other day, I looked for my cell phone for about two or three minutes before realizing I was talking on it. And that's not the first time.  ::dang:: ::dang::

As for cables, keep 'em plugged into your computer and if they need to be transportable, buy spares. ::tu::

That's just it - I do have spares. They have grown legs as well from the cable drawer. :x

As for leaving them plugged in, I only have a laptop and I take it on sales calls, so they have to be unplugged to fit in the carrier. I usually leave the cables coiled on the desk, but obviously I didn't do that. ::doh::

One of them will turn up somewhere.
