Picked up another minty Walden 8OT. Like Paul said... can't have enough 8OTs. And I say, especially if it's a Walden. ::ds::

A departure from the safe queen buys, a few others I picked up to be part of my EDC rotation.

Ok.. guess that's enough for now. Having trouble remembering the one's I've purchased over the last few months. ::shrug::

Nice fixy on the last page gwelker, congrats. Nice ones above.
Picked this up for a son of a friend who turns 8 soon and will join Cub scouts. Same tools as BSA model, no scout insignia. eighteen bills less. I think it has better grips too, "evolution grips" instead of the same old hard plastic. Something different than plain red/plain blue like the BSA with the same options. Less than twenty four bills. Couldn't pass it up. The Viper put a tiny slit in the plastic so he can get to it without trashing the package.

Ivoryman, That is a very fine set for the soon to be scout. I also prefer the evolution grips. ::tu::

You have both Quick? What is it like, softer more like rubber in the blacks? Had plenty of classics, no evolutions. Curious myself. Thanks.

I have a Ranger model SAK with those grips. It does up the comfort and control a notch or two.

Thanks Quick S, and gwelker. That's what I wanted to know and that's what I wanted for an 8 yr old: better grip in the hand. Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. Have a great one.

I swear you must have a scent for those because you always seem to keep finding them. Most of the time when I look on ebay nothing turns up. That one looks factory fresh ::tu::

There are still quite a few popping up from time to time. But the bidding is going well over a hunnurd bucks on most of em now that are minty. I have to back out when they get that high. Think I paid less than 60 for that last one w/ shipping.

Paul, you got me to thinking... just how many Walden 8OTs do I have? Had to do a little inventorying. ::hmm::

I have only 5 of em. And yeah I know, that's not near enough :(. 3 of which are minty and one of those came from Greg. Might just have to up my budget for the next one to comes up.

George I only have one sw 8ot and it is used.

I'm more focused on pre swinden, pre Delrin schrades so I usually do not pursue later ones unless they are pretty cheap or a special version. I'd like to have at least two minty sw 8ot's so I'll have to pony out the cash at some point.

Found this old and worn fellow in the mail today. Still with good life left in it, and only cost about the same as $2 in old pocket change.
Bet it was less than that when it was new! ::nod::

Thank you, woodwalker. I think I'll sharpen it a bit and give it some carry time. Having an old bone-handled knife in the pocket just seems to put a smile on my face! ::woot::

There ya go LANG! I carry an old bone handle Winchester because I just like it too much to put it up. If something puts a.scratch on it its no big deal. It already has some! Ha. Enjoy your new acquisition! :-)
