Scott, I'm interested in that spearpoint Ideal with the tip bolsters but for some reason fleabay is not bringing up your seller page? It's been acting weird for me lately.

If it's not listed yet, shoot me a PM and we'll talk.

Ken, it is a limited run model, first introduced by Buck as the 117 "Baby Brahma" about a year and a half to two years ago (blackened stainless steel, leather handles, tactical style pommel, guard, and sheath) about a year and a half ago. Copper & Clad ordered a short run of the 117 in this sporting style using the traditional 100 series black phenolic handle, bright stainless steel blade, and aluminum guard/pommel. They also had a few made with cocobolo handles and brass guard/pommel. Not sure how short the run actually was, but not a Buck standard or custom item. Plenty on ebay in all three variations right now; when C&C drops them they are gone. I thought it would be a good waterfowl knife, bigger than the Buck 102 I use now (with it's tiny handle) but much smaller than the bigger Buck 119 (which for me is too much knife for waterfowl). OH

Ps Here it is between the big 119 and the tiny 102.

Gino, I like the handles on that Benchmade. Blue and black just seem to compliment each other so nicely. I am curious about one thing though. What is it that McHenry & Williams (father and step-son team as I understand it) do to the knives that makes them special. Is it just a re-handle?

Jerry, McHenry and Williams are the designers of the knife. They did not customize it.

Scott, looks like you found a couple of good ones this am! That old boning knife looks like it could still do the job. The Old Cutler, who made it?

Great looking Mini jerry! The grind on the tang almost looks like the new grind knives from the mid 80's. ::tu::
