The cutting blades on that Winchester seem kind of short for such a long awl and handle. What's up with that?

Thanks Dave. I like the bone in the old winchester also. It has a chip in the mark side. All the blades are marked winchester trade mark made in usa. It has nickel silver tips, shield and milled linings. It has 1 large spear, 2 pens and a pick file. I could be mistaken but I believe it is called an "Orange Blossom" I believe all the blades are correct. It has a few little issues but I could never afford a mint knife of that pattern so I am very happy to own it. Thanks for the comments! Now on to the next treasure! :)

Well this is my first rough rider knife after seeing some of the RR knives posted earlier in this thread and thinking about trying a sowbelly I decided I really liked that tobacco bone so for $9.44 I picked one up, the quality is what I expected, not too bad but not great either. Now with that being said I think it’s definitely worth the money and if I saw another RR that caught my eye the way this one did I would probably buy it just because I love knives

Didn't see the tobacco bone sowbelly for under 10 bucks or I'd got one of them too, but did find the silver select.

Picked up this old Ulster whittler from a vendor here a week or so ago. Gotta be some history behind this knife as the jigged bone is now almost smooth and the blades are somewhat worn and pitted. Never mind though cause its exactly what I wanted and it still has life in it's old bones. :wink:

This discontinued Kershaw Onion/Centofante 1610 arrived today and I am just tickled pink over it...well, maybe tickled maroon would be more accurate!

@#$%^&*(! Gino, that's amazing to get any new knife for under ten bucks I must say. Nice bones there too. Good looking knife. Homer, yours too, pretty bone. Gino, I just wondered how this sets with what you say below about carrying a cheap knife? Maybe it's not cheap, just inexpensive, I don't know. I like hearing reviews though. Thanks for the info and any reviews you have. Sunknife, that's a beauty too. Lots of life left. Congrats.

Got this PAL Cutlery 4" serpentine jack from Cosgrove (bestgear). Sharpened it up and it's ready to go in the pocket. I'm lovin' the bone on this one.
Thanks Tom. ::tu::

Ooh, I like that one. I need to cruise the stores more often.

Those knives 313 Mike sent came today. It being Mike, there were 12 instead of the 11 as advertised. :lol: They're all actually very serviceable. For what they are, I wasn't expecting that. Thanks Mike. Thanks for the extra one and thanks for the history lesson that came with the Pride of the Rockies Flour Mill knife
