Just got this 1971-1973 Schrade Walden for Sears Craftsman to add to my bacon lettuce and trout knife collection. The image is from forum member Producer but my knife is identical. I don't think he will mind if I use his image.

Nice one Calvin. What is the Schrade-Walden pattern # ? This is one that was only briefly made as a Schrade-Walden i believe.

Thanks Cal, i looked it up in Clemente's book, only made 1971-73 and very few ever made. Called the "Maverick".
I think it is a very good looking hunting style knife. I am surprised it wasn't a winner for Schrade.

It had just gotten started when, in 1973, they came out with the 49rs series, and the 491 took the 41OT's place.

Kennedy K- You are a one-man show! I am impressed. There are some Randalls in there that I would happily cherish, but not to exempt some very Scagelicious items. ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Great looking knife, and the story is even better. Like the inset casing. Thanks for showing that, love the rare moose antler shot.

Tony, Now there is a handsome Bowie. Who made it? And do you know what kind of wood was used for the handle? ::tu::
