So you can't order an automatic from the next state over from you but you can order one from GearBest and they will ship it all the way from China, right to your front door no problem. What a crazy world we live in. ::facepalm::

Much appreciation to Roger (peanut740) for this atomic bomb that showed up in my mailbox yesterday. I'm still in a daze over his generosity.

Totally worth braving the elements IMO. The pearl looks amazing on that knife and the blades have tons of life left. What's the closed length of that little gem? Thanks for sharing it! ::tu::

Greg those are some wonderful and beautiful Empires ::tu::

Here is a sweet little vintage sleeve board Miller Brothers (circa 1920-1926)) Pearl lobster folder with four tools to include a pair of scissors, manicure file blade, small spear/pen blade and larger spear blade. It is 2.75 inches closed and has nice sunken joints. The build quality and precision fit of the various components is near perfection. Everything fits together with such exactness and works so smoothly it is just amazing and very satisfying to use!

That's an interesting pattern, big-h! That looks a lot like the faux stag composition handles Camillus used back in the 4-line days. The spiral punch has me thinking Camillus too. I have a 2-blade jack (Turkish clip and pen blades) with the same handles, albeit cracked and with a chip missing. I intended to get the knife rehandled but I've become enamored enough of those handles to start looking for a beater version of that knife, or at least a knife with the same frame and handles, to perhaps combine the parts into one "factory" knife.

High Carbon Steel was a stamp made by Camillus for Sears 1928-1940. When new it had a Sta-Sharp blade etch.

That's the reason I put the picture of the spiral punch in, I was thinking it was something Camillus used. Wow the handles on this one are in good shape to be that old, no real shrinkage and no cracks that I see. Some tough plastic for sure. It was a bin for 8 bucks and I figured it wasn't worth that, but it just said it needed to be in my pile and I'm glad it is, yawl know how l like hoks. ::nod:: thanks for the good info Tony and Jerry, appreciate it. ::tu::
