Texas queen Mountain man knife

Hello all, hope every one out there is doing well.
I just finished up this knife, and wanted to show it off, I am relly proud of it. This is a Queen Mountain man. I added stabilized mesquite burl scales, and file work. I stabilized the wood myself, and this is my first try at it. The wood is much harder now, and really looks nice. The scales are book matched. I also file worked the lock bar. I am really proud of the fit and finish on this as well as the scales themselves. I would like to get ahold of some more wood this pretty. I appreciate you thoughts and input, and look forward to hearing from yall.

Thanks fellows for the knid words. This is one of my favorite patterns as well. I dont get the chance to do lots of these knives, I do lots of work on the Spydercos, and spend most of my time building buckles and saddle hardware. I enjoy working on knives, the problem is I want to keep all of them. One thing I have noticed on these is the blade play, not side to side but front to back. Seems like every one of these mountain mens have that. Even with that they are my favorite. The steel in these is really nice, man these hold an edge.

Muskrat Man you work on lots of these knives, and I admire your work, top notch. Do you have any suggestions on fixing the blade play in these? I am all ears if you do.

Huck, yeah its been awhile, I am still around, just hadnt posted anything for awhile. Holler if you need some Mesquite, I bet I can find some.

Mike, yes I have done a few of these hand have noticed the blade play on all of them, two were so bad I had them sent back to the dealer. The only fix I think is to remove the spring and stretch the end of it

Thanks fellows. I am working on a Mountain man with some very nice Elk stag. When I get it finished I will put some pictures up. I think it will be really nice.
The Mesquite knife just sold, I did want to keep it, but you know how that works. Good excuse to make another one.
