Howdy Boys,

----- Have any of you members ever seen any "Prototype" Sunfish/Elephant Toenail patterns like these three? All knives are from the Case Classic program & have the Rare "Bulldog main blade etch" & are very desirable & sot after by most hard core Case Classic collectors that go after the 2050 patterns like me!

Roger, your 3 knives are examples of a pattern that I find very appealing. I am not a Case collector, but I think you have
the kind of collection I would find satisfying. May I ask what someone would have to pay for any of these knives? Are they all the same size? My collection is very broad and non specific. I lean toward user or utility knives, fixed blade mostly. For example: Italian farmer's knife, Japanese kitchen knife, Phillipine bolo knife, Norwegian fisherman's
knife, etc... I have damascus, charcoal forged, and silver blades, etc..My point, if I have one to make, is to collect what you can enjoy sharing with others, just as we are doing in this forum.

----- The top 62050 Red Corn Cob bone is a 1996 year made & would fetch in today's market around $365.00 to $395.00 or more, the 2nd 62050 Antique Green bone is a 1995 year made & would bring around $415.00 to $485.00 or more, the bottom 52050 Toasted Stag would bring $515.00 to $570.00 or more! All three knives are very, very rare "Prototypes" which means they will command a much higher selling price than regular run knives that are in the same pattern with the same handles! The closed size for all three is 4 1/2" ... seventy, sounds like you have a very nice collection of unusual knives that is very much like my best knifer friends (Randy --->azcatfish) collection as he leans towards fishing knives & the toothpick pattern.

----- stagman, thanks my knifer friend! I have around a ten contacts for these knives but could always use more in deed. Please give me a holler when you get back from the show, OK?

Howdy knifer friends,

I just had to post this Ultra rare piece for your viewing pleasure! She's a 1994 Case Classic - 2050 pattern with Genuine Elephant Ivory handles & on the front side of the handle it has a Scrimshawed picture of a charging Bull Elephant that is just Too Cool!!!

What you have pictured here are some of the rarest of the rare, in the Classic program.
Just so you all know, if Roger wasn't posting pictures of these, odds are that you would NEVER have seen them anywhere else.
How DO you find such rare treasures as these???

yeah, Roger I know you're showing off, but thank you buddy I would to. It's a pleasure to see these treasures, they are rare treats.

Sigh, monitors a mite damp now too. I do have a number of rare Bulldogs I need to take pictures of, many I got through our aution site, some however were listed only a matter of hours, I knew what they were and I jumped on them. Willy had some knives that aren't even in the books. I'll be taking some pictures when the sun decides to shine, like to use natural light for knives. Course a Toenail like those, Tiger Coral, Ivory, Mastodon Ivory, etc....hard to compare. But 1 of a kind knives are 1 of a kind knives. I have to take pictures of a couple hundred or so Bulldog knives, eventually for a website. I will post some. I would guess that some have been seen by only a few people. But Roger where do you find these great Toenails and how large is your collection? Thanks for sharing, I think everything will dry out by morning.

Thanks for the kind words my knife Brothers! ... In a way Hukk, I am showing them off

but only the top three in this topic are flagged with my name, the next three I posted are up for sale right now & all knives are straight out of the "Sam Turner collection", a knifer friend of mine that is a life member in the "Case Classics Club" & that is highly recommended as a straight shooter in the hobby as a seller that goes by puga-5 on EBay! ... With that thought in mind I will show others that are very Rare Case Classic 2050 patterns, the top is a 1994 - 2050 with Sheephorn handles - Case Oval shield that also sports on the main blade the Rare, DBL Bull Elephant etch - "Prototype"

... The next knife is a 1995 - 2050 Sheephorn "Prototype" also but in this case this knife has no shield & is considered very Super Rare due to that fact & also being a 1995 is a survivor of a factory fire which most 1995's did not survive but this fine example did & shes mine all mine

) ... One more thing Hukk, I would love to see any Bulldog Sunfish you have stached away in your collection &/or older Case & Platts (in bone, Stag & Pearl) like in my friend Scott King's collection as well as Fight'n Rooster's in the same pattern from any of ya'lls collections

Hello newbie,

In my humble opinion & with keeping year to year records on all of these Case Classic 2050 patterns, I would have to say YES, they are with out a doubt one of the fastest rising in value patterns in the hobby for sure! ... In the past three to four years this 2050 pattern with Genuine Red Apple Coral handles has been fetching $715.00 (lowest Ive seen) to a little over $800.00 + & as far as I can see will keep rising in value in the years to come & that is one of the reasons I collect them newbie! There are four good reasons why this is one of the rarest of the rare below,

1). Its a Case Classic seres knife, one of the 37 patterns that was made to order from the late & great MR. Jim Parker!

2). Its a 2050 pattern that's very, very popular in the hobby & is sot after by many hard core collectors that seek out not only this pattern but also are on the hunt for many knife patterns that were made for the Case Classic program!

3). Very good investment grade Cutlery that continues to climb in book & market value!

4). This piece is a very special piece & holds a Prototype classification which will hold a higher value than a regular run piece + she sports exotic Genuine Red Apple Coral handles & the Single Charging Bull Elephant etch that is considered a limited edition etch also very special!

Hey Knifer friends,

Here are two more "very rare" 62050 patterns in bone that are 1 of 6 run made only

with the main blade etch "King Of The Beast", both are 1996 year made with Rogers Brown & Rogers Blue bone handles - Bomb shields & like I said above, "very rare indeed"

Hi Fellas,

Well I guess that by now you guys can tell that my good knifer friend Roger 2050 is indeed "THE MAN" when it comes to the beloved ETN 2050 pattern of the Case Classisc.

Roger has probably forgotten more about these knives than I will ever know.

I just wanted to stop by and say that I have purchased several knives from Roger and let me tell you this...you'll NEVER have a more pleasant knife buying experience. The knives are sent to you in the best possibly packaging and are sent in a timely manner too.

In other words...Just as most of Roger's knives are very rare, it is equally ultra rare to find someone like him that takes pride in the shipping as well as the sale process.

Every time I have bought from Roger, it has been a very pleasurable experience. So guys ya better take advantage when he decides to have a sale. This is truely a rare chance of a lifetime.
