Thanks for the replies Lansky and Railsplitter. Yes it may be awhile before I play the lottery with a new S&M knife purchase again. I have about 15 of them and half have issues, some have near zero snap and springs so weak an infant could open the blade, some have scales shrunk so the sharp edge of the back spring is exposed and visible, a couple have terrible blade wobble and a few have that gritty blade action that personally annoys me to no end.
Now the others I have are darn near perfect in my opinion but I feel like it is a roll of the dice to mail order one. Just wish there was a knife super store near me where I could inspect and handle each one before buying.
