Goins has a listing for HATCH CUTLERY CO. SO. MILWAUKEE WISC. giving it dates of circa 1894 to 1895. I believe your "30" is actually SO. He also says "Pat Apr 9 '89" should be stamped on the small blade. No other information given. Nice old knife! ::tu:: ::tu::

Welcome HanOverfiste.

Can you show more pictures of the knife?
Why are the cover/liners out of alignment?

Joe, I assumed that the "tabs" at the ends of the knife were part of some kind of opening mechanism?
See knife7knut's post on the second page.

Thanks for the welcome back.
The knife does have the patent date on the back side. and the tabs are the opening mechanism for the blades as said before.
