QueenSteel knives

I am an on-and-off collector. Have been for years. More of a hobby, I guess. As the saying goes, I know just enough to be dangerous.

Since my knife knowledge is rusty (Excuse the pun), I could use a refresher and wonder if someone could help with info or point me to a website for info on QueenSteel knifes.

I bought two of these knives today:

A stockman with clip, spay, and leather punch blades. It has imitation stag Winterbottom scales. The master blade is etched "QueenSteel # 37" with a crown over the "Q". No tang stamps.

The other is a two blade barlow. Same scales as the stockman. The master blade is etched "QueenSteel # 22" with a crown over the "Q" and "Made in U.S.A" beneath. The master blade is tang stamped "Q" with a long tail and the number "76" above the tail. I believe it was a bicentennial tang stamp. The pen blade is tang stamped "Pat. No.2728139". I guess that refers to the strange backspring design.

Hey Jimbo. Some Queen info is available right here at this site. Scroll up to the top of your screen. Under "Research" there is a queen link with some history available. I'm sure someone here with more knowledge than myself will help you out with more info. Nick

Thanks Bill. I tried it. Apparently, the knives I am searching for are not current production. It will keep me busy. (:>)
