Jerry there is no pattern mumber on it but if I recall correctly the 30 was 3 1/4 and this is 3 3/8.

Well I just checked my Sargents and it shows the 30 pattern at 3 3/8 from the Case Bros period. It came with recessed or smooth bolsters so it looks like 08230 1/2 Is on the money. ::tu::

I was starting to go into withdrawal and since the Rough Riders are not much money ------- This one is on it's way. She's a 3½" mini-trapper with buffalo horn handles dressed up by a strip of abalone.

Thanks Greg. I was influenced by another member who had bought one of these Premium Rough Riders. I'm so weak. ::facepalm::

While I was pondering the best way to spend a lazy rainy day this morning, this one caught my eye and she's on the way.

Wow another awesome knife Greg! ::tu:: I gotta get back to work soon. I'm getting tired of watching my collection shrink. I would like to see it grow instead. Guess I'll have to go and check out some Rough Riders and get my fix.....

These Churchills got their hooks in me. I've been waiting for a smooth yellow rose bone run from GEC for a while now. This one's en route:

I would like to see the Churchill with mammoth handles. They would suit the sleek profile very well.

I've got one of those in transit too, Tony. The Yellow Rose and the forum knife will be the only Churchills that I'll get from this run. I anticipate having a hard time deciding which one I like best but I'll have to wait until I have them both in hand.

I thought the same thing when I made my reservations but then I got my eyes on the ebony Churchill, a handle material that is surprisingly sparse in my accumulation. The smooth yellow rose was a "must-have" as soon as I found out abut it, though. I'm also highly psyched for the AAPK knife. I might need a thicker belt.

I was so enamored with the GEC #35 Churchill Yellow Rose, I called GEC this morning and ordered a #35 Churchill Green Banana Bone. Chris said she would get it shipped out today so I should have it by Friday, Saturday at the latest if the Post Office doesn't stick it to me.
