WW1 period German 'Knicker'

Post by Unclebob »

This small stag handled Knife was bought back from the trenches in WW1, by one of my Great Uncles. It's the type of blade preferred by German troops as a small utility knife, not specifically for combat use. Apparently, they were known as 'Knickers'. 8 1/2" overall, with a 4" blade.

I really like your jagdmesser, if for no other reason than that is an authentic example of a German side knife which was NOT made for the tourist trade. Classic and very cool! ::tu::
