WW2 FLASHLIGHT

HERE'S A GIFT I GOT THIS CHRISTMAS WHEN I WAS HOME. MY GREAT UNCLE'S WW2 ARMY ISSUE FLASHLIGHT, OD GREEN AND ALL THE PARTS ARE THERE. DOESN'T WORK THOUGH. BUT VERY COOL I THINK. HE WAS STATIONED IN INDIA DURING THE WAR.

It has to be cuz it was your GREAT UNCLE'S that makes it special to you.

I have seen many things from that time of our life.

I never received any thing from my uncle's but their sons did.

My dad sold every thing he had....

Hello, Perry.

How (besides having a relative tell you) can someone date a WWII flashlight? Also, is that bakelite? If so, it may have a maker's mark somewhere (stamped into the molded parts).

That's nice to have had that passed down to you!

Hey Tip, really good question man. I'm afraid I'm no authority on these things. Yeah, here's a few pics of the marks though not great pics. On the handle it reads, TL-122-B
I think it is bakelite. GTS made in the USA on the bottom of flashlight and my uncle's initials he put in there, CWC, if you have any other info I'd love to know. Thanks,
