That screech owl is a fine looking fellow. I always like seeing any owl, and very seldom do so.

Lucky,Lucky,Lucky, Friday tha'13th ____Got this 10 point-166lbs. buck,this morning about 7:35am. --saw him about first light heading to me and when he put his head down to eat,I put the cross hairs on the back of his neck & squeezed off a .270 Hornady SST from my BAR*** -- (dropped in his tracks) -- He will hang on my wall from now on,to remind me just how fast my ""Ol'Heart"" can thump,without blowing a fuse !!!!

TreeFarmer AKA Phillip -- this will be a nice start to filling the freezer up with cube steak ,sausage,ect. !!!!

The morning started off great, had a couple little ones out in front, but wasn’t seeing their mama.

As I was enjoying them playing in the field I had a Dutchy invade the property so I had to go kick him off.

The evening was nice! Had 4 long beards cross out in front. My brother missed on a doe on a long shot with the in-line. All in all a great day in PA.

Life is great GD, I got married last month and it’s the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever experienced.

The squirrels are out in full and our season is quickly approaching. I was just thinking of something to make if I go bag a bunch.

Elaborate on the stink-bucket bait and the coydog huntin', please sir. We've got regular coyotes and maybe even coydogs, I wouldn't mind lettin' the air out of some on a regular basis, not just when one happens by. Do y'all do this while you deer hunt?

I drop the bucket in a hollow an hour before sunrise and pending on wind hunt on the ridges..Not during a deer hunt.

I just found this thread and its good to see there are other outdoor enthusiasts here. My love of the outdoors started as a young teen in the early 70's
growing up small town western Illinois. Back then it started with a single shot 20 ga. roaming the woods in search of game, in those days all the farmers let ya hunt their land. Hunting and boy scout campouts started me carrying pocket knives and and fixed blades and this website got me into collecting knives this past year rather than just only owning one at a time. Nowadays I live in suburbia and for the past 25 yrs I've hung up the gun and hunt with primitive archery equipment I make myself. Mostly hunt public land and it gets pretty crowded here and I'll admit that makes me a little nervous when the guns start going off and ya don't know the guy whose shooting.
Well enough of the long winded introduction, here's a few pics from this weeks day afield.
1. View from my ground blind
2. Walk down a overgrown wooded lane
3. Pond about 200 yards from my blind and a osage bow I'm using on this day.
