picked up a couple of the single blade 23s. 1095. beaver tail #115 and beaver pond #115. the dark one is the pond. perfect. i hope we get to see more great easterns in the future.

Nice knives

have a question for you single blade Great Eastern owners. I bought a SARPNT. Nice knife, looking to carry it, but the spring is extremely stout. I honestly think I'm going to tear a nail of or possibly cut myself just opening and closing the knife. Are the rest of you seeing that type spring in your GEC single blades

take gelatin for your nails! mine are strong but not overly so.

I've got 19 of the 2 blade trappers and everyone of them will break a nail ifin you aren't careful. Breakin a nail opening is not near as bad as gettin your finger under the blades when you close them though! They all snap like gators!

I like the strong spring also, but I have had several people come into my store and try to open one of them, chip a thumb nail, put it back on the shelf and move on to the other brands without ever getting it open.
