A Schrade surprise today...........

Went to Battle Creek today to pinstripe a 31 Model A Ford coupe for a customer.Nice guy who has been building cars for years and works days as a lawyer to support his,"car addiction".

While painting the car,we were talking and I mentioned I collected knives.A few minutes later he leaves and comes back with the knives shown.He bought a whole bunch of Schrades at an auction several years ago and gave them away to friends.These were the last two he had.I surprised him a bit when I reached in my pocket and immediately whipped out two pennies to give him.He was surprised I knew that tradition of giving a penny for the gift of a knife in order to negate any bad luck.

I finally got a knife from Herman, who does great embellishment work on genuine Made in the USA Schrades.

I still like the two beauties that knife7knut was lucky enough to acquire.
