This one is coming to me compliments of The Bay; 4 1/4" Chris Wolf, in good shape and not expensive. I had a similar Chris Wolf which i sold (also most reasonably) to an esteemed AAPK'er. I have missed it's unique ruggedness. I think i will be very pleased with this one.

Sorry about that. I had expected this Chris Wolf knife to sell at around $100, so i was surprised that it sold for considerably less. These knives are not well known, but if a few bidders do know, then the price will go high.

At 2nd estate sale I found this slick stag hunting knife and under close inspection it is stamped H.L. Morris #086 1991 (was in the bottom of a tackle box).

Had our 2017 Friends of NRA banquet last night, well attended and raised a decent amount of money for range development and youth shooting teams. I came home with two knives, a Buck and a Case. OH

The gun show appeared to be a bust but on the last pass I noticed a dealer had a box with a few knives in it. I asked him what he wanted for the orange Schrades and they were $5 each and he said one was hard to open. I bought them both. The Imperial is a Copenhagen advertiser and cost $5. The Case XX, which I thought was the prize of the day was only $10 and is a great looking knife but the pattern number (32048SP) says it's suppose to have yellow scales and a long spay blade. It must be a rare single blade version of the 48 series and someone just forgot to put the spay blade in it. (I'm practicing for if I ever sell on EBay.) Oh well, it'll make a sweet little carry knife. Does anyone know how to loosen the Schrade. It kind of looses something having a switch blade that you need a hammer to tap on the button to open it. Still a fun day knife shopping.____Dave

Dave, I wonder if your Case is in fact a genuine frame with a reblade from a 2-blade 048 (which I am not sure I've ever seen in person -- I do believe the 2-blade 048 might be the rarer variant, as every 048 I have has a single California clip). The bone on that knife looks outstanding and very Case, so I don't suspect it's a rehandle (unless expertly done using original Case bone).

I agree that knife will make an excellent, pocketable carry blade. You made away with quite the haul!

Thanks Tony. I think the frame is all intact but who ever changed out the blade did it without a hint the bolsters were ever messed with. It'll be a fun one to compare with Case or perhaps Robeson frames to see if I can identify it. I couldn't read the pattern number when I bought it and didn't see a single red flag. Of course at $10 I wasn't looking too hard. ___Dave

Nah, he really doesn't know a ton about knives, but he does tend to overprice them. I really liked the Remy, but decided to get the Case as well. The little Schrade is not bad, albeit used.
