Moved the AAPK website - Keep an eye out for bugs

Post by Bryan »

Good day knifers :)

I've been working on moving the AAPK website to a new server. I do believe I finally have the project complete.

Please let me know if you experience anything out of the ordinary.

This might include such things as...

Slower page loading
Problems with picture uploads
Login issues
Missing pictures
missing content
pretty much anything that might not seem right.

Thanks a bunch!
Bryan

When I tried a Search this morning it worked...But then when I wanted to come back it messed up with some thing about the page.

So I had to clicked back in the AAPK Community to get back in forums.
It worked better the other way by just backing up to what I was reading.

when I go to the AAPK stores and pick a knife like coon. Some stores that have coon's for sale do not come up. Perhaps they are just NEW stores like Fats and yerouts store ??

I am not complaining OK its just that you asked.

Bryan
I went to list a new knife
I logged in my personal store manager
hit the add new item
It let me write out the title and whole description
When I hit submit, every thing I did was lost
And it took me back to log in like I was never there ::shrug::
Did not feel like typing over again, so I quit
That was saturday 1-19-08 about 1pm EST
You must have been working your butt off changing everything over
We all appreciate all your hard work Bryan ::tu::
AAPK IS TOP SHELF ::nod::
Hope this info helps ya

If I stay in the chat room with AAPK running I fell like their is a timer that
turns off AAPK if I don't move or do some thing. I loose the post that I have not read yet. The colored bell is gone when I sign back in.

Bryan,
Don't know if it was your glitch or mine, but I was not logged in and browsing old posts, and recieved a pop-up which said : " the name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site."

Gave me the option of continuing or not. Never saw that before.

Fran, ol buddy,

Thks for the nice email... Turn off your phishing filter, in Internet Explorer. It's just a PIA, if you ask me.

Bryan :

I use iPower web, to host my website. They only charge me $100 per year, and after 4 years, they gave me unlimited disk space. But then, I'm not a "business" customer, just personal.
Headquarters in Santa Monica, but the equipment is somewhere in AZ. Only problem I've experienced is they sometimes slow WAY down - I'm not sure (haven't bothered to ask), if they're using T1 or T3 access, tho'. Not the friendliest folks on the web, but they do what they advertise.

Take Care,
JR
