Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I've been posting these all over the place but I'm pretty excited about 'em so with your indulgence, one more time.
BTW, the mystery is solved. The yellow one came from my daughter.

Love the Case - Winchester lockback; two of my favorite brands in one very practical product!

Jerry, it is nice to be loved and appreciated - and all the better when it is expressed with such beautiful knives! OH

Two recent additions to my Case 18 pattern collection; bought them both off fellow AAPK members this summer. Back in June I added the 6318 PU (1975) and just yesterday I received the 6318 HP (1981). OH

Thanks Joe.

Nice pickup JDUB, for me I think the of the 80 pattern as the best whittler to use - even the small blades are stout. OH

Well I got some pics yesterday of my 5171L from my repairman. He's done with it and it's headed back to Ga.
Here is a before and after. I'll do a full photo shoot when she arrives.

Wow, that was a fast turnaround time, and stunning results to boot. Love that open cut out release lever...very classy.
Great restoration of a very cool knife. In today's disposable-just-buy-a-new-one consumer mentality, it's very satisfying to see a quality built item get repaired and returned to active duty. Well done, Greg! ::tu::

Thanks Q! From the pics it looks fantastic. Can't wait to get it in hand. He said it fires like a .44 magnum. :D
He's one of our own and I suspect I'll be giving him a big thumbs-up when I get it. ::nod::

That's really nice, Greg. Good effort in getting that knife repaired.

Keith they are nearly identical brand new and unused. That's a pretty hot pattern so I figured what the heck.

You will not regret that one Phil. Seriously heavy duty knife(s).
Compared to the chunks of congress' you like, you may not notice it in your pocket.
