The listing didn't use the word "Scout" or "Knife"....I found it by searching on just "WOHELO" - it wasn't a knife purveyor.espn77 wrote:Don't see them very often

This 6265 SS showed up today, same as Greg's. Good solid knife. Made a comment or two in the Case thread.

So they sold three that we know of to AAPK'ers. Mine is supposed to show up tomorrow. Is it as slab sided as it looks in pictures?treefarmer wrote:This 6265 SS showed up today, same as Greg's. Good solid knife. Made a comment or two in the Case thread.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I suspected the checkering wouldn't look as it does in the mock-ups, which is why I didn't pull the trigger on any of those.
However...
I actually kinda like the "zones" of checkered and uncheckered on a big knife like the 65 and the dye job looks good by my eye. Since my only 65s are either dead mint and boxed or limited edition knives (dressy but massive = not much carry) I haven't had much occasion to carry Case hunters. If that special is still going on I think I'm a buyer.
Bryan, are you getting any kickbacks for this stuff? Could be 4 quick sales in a couple days, you should get a commission!

Gary, you just stepped off the curb. You're in heavy traffic now. You picked a good one to lead you down the road to ruin.

I wasn't on board with GEC when they first came on the scene. However, after working on many of them, and now owning many, I'm a big fan.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Finally arrived. I'm more pleased than I thought I would be. It is a monster but it's a much more handsome monster (IMO) than I anticipated. I thought I'd throw in a Camillus 72 for scale. It's a shame it didn't come with a sheath but for the price I can see why they didn't throw one in.

Jerry, if you know where a Clerk is available let me know. It's the one #13 I regret having missed out (had a reservation but it fell by the wayside). Love the fact that you're using a #72 for scale now.
That Whip is pretty great, Gary. I just couldn't justify it because of all the 2-blade #13s I ended up with.
As much as I love 'em, GECs can definitely put a hurting on the ol' savings.
I'mma post my newest pickups here once I have some time to make decent lighting in here, I ran out of daylight long before leaving work, was lucky to get a pic of my EDCs before closing time. I might grab some work lamps and rig together a quick lightbox.

Nice pick ups everyone. Can't really go wrong with GEC!
I just sold a couple of knives to pick up 4. Here are the first two I got. 40s or 50s Queen half congress. 70's Western stockman that I got from Dale
. I have been told that Western is some of the best carbon around.
Both are very nice and I will enjoy using them.

Picked up these four over the summer - all from AAPK members - they "fit" my collecting theme (buy knives!) OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark
