CARDON STEEL

Post by W5RWU »

What will remove light stains from carbon steel?
I have tried simichrome and 2000 grit sand paper, I dont want to get to carried away with the sandpaper.
Thanks for any help

PS the stains are from light rust

I have used Birchwood Casey gun blue and rust remover with good results. Follow the directions exactly. Don't think that increasing the time before rinsing the stuff off will help matters. Go slow with it. Dends on what the stains are, but it has worked for me, light rust included.
