Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Picked up my first Old Timer of the bay the other day and it arrived today. Got a pretty nice 34OT - pretty nice to me anyway. Needs cleaned and sharpened but I think it'll be a nice piece. I wanted it to whittle with and think it ought to serve my purposes, especially for $9.13 delivered!

Good knife at a decent price! I have done mods on a few of these 34OT's. They seem to hit the sweet spot for size, although they may be a little small in the hand for some.

Added a couple more to my small 'oldies' collection. Both arrived Friday in the mail, good to come home to after a brutal work week in the heat and humidity here.
Bayonne Knife Co. jack knife and a Robeson sleeveboard. Both appear to have a fair amount of blade wear but the snap is decent and the bone is nice on both. I'm really digging the oldies lately. Thanks for taking a look folks, Greg

Couldn't agree more Sunknife, just snagged this Case XX 61024 1/2 for significantly less than a lot of new knives. And it appears unused and unsharpened, great snap, no wobble, great color, SUPER thin so you don't even notice it in the pocket. And since they do not make them like this anymore or this particular pattern it's a double bonus. It's even better than I expected and a very satisfying deal.

Thx Ivoryman ... just never made sense to me to have a pen & spey blade on a 3 blade frame - was just enough meat on the spey to carve out a whittler/coping blade.Ivoryman wrote:Cool one Lansky, very nice. Looks that kill and I love the knives with mods. Personal touch. Bravo.
