I do not find it easy to part with these knives as they are so attractive and well made. But it is for good reason. One of my 3 daughters is getting married in September in Italy where she lives and i very much want to be there. Money from knife sales here will go into a 'travel fund' which i hope will get me there.
The fixed blade is 8 1/8" OAL & is marked "Browning/U.S.A.". The sheath is stamped "Browning/Hand Crafted in Mexico/40181
The folding lock-back knife is just over 5" closed. Saber ground blade is marked "Browning/U.S.A." The hard wood handles are sculpted with a palm swell on both sides. The sheath is stamped "Browning/Hand Crafted in Mexico/4018/F".
Neither has been used but there are light handling marks. What you might see on the blades in my pictures is shadows from an overhead tree.
The numbers on the sheaths suggest that these were a Hunting set, possibly sold together.
I would like $150 for both, shipped & PP fees included. I will mail these from Canada. Canada Post is expensive & it takes 7-8 days to get there.
Bernard Levine says the USA Brownings are of higher collector value than the Germany or Japan Brownings. My asking price is less than what i paid 'some' years ago.
Please contact me if interested: [email protected]
thanks, kj
How about $125 shipped ?
