Hey GUYS, I have a WW2 Collection of Utility knives up for grabs,,PM me if interested. All knives are in UNCLEANED natural patina condition. They will look Spectacular when lightly cleaned up. Great Starter Collection that you can upgrade as time goes on.
ALL Knives are very strong, they need Oiled, All blades will have Hard snaps both ways. Great knives,,All blades still very full, Punch blades are full,,No chips/cracks

Got this Camillus the other day. Dont know anything about it other than it has a four line tang stamp.

David, I have what I believe is your knife's "twin" in Cornwall Knife Co. livery. It might be slightly newer than yours, so possibly a younger brother.

It's about 3 7/8" (roughly) long. Here's a flash photo of the stamp:

Good knife Tony! Sure looks like the same knife other than mine does not have a swedge on the master blade. I found a pic of a Syracuse Knife Co. knife that looks like your knife with the swedge. Wonder why the Camillus one does not have the swedge? I'm sure they are all related swedge or not.

That's the primary reason I believe your knife might be a hair older. It looks more like a stamped long pull than a machined one, and the contract knife has the clip blade profile and machining I associate with Camillus from the post-war years pretty much up until they closed the doors.

I wonder how many knives Camillus sent out the doors, all told. It must be a staggering number.

I didnt know about the stamped and machined long pulls. Hadnt paid that close attenion to the detail. I can see what your talking about. That's a good piece of info to have. Thank you for that nugget of info! Agreed the amount of knives Camillus put out over the years must be a staggering amount!

All of your knives are beautiful. I have but one Camillus however it may be my favorite because it was always in the family.
