That is a really cool piece of naval history, moss. Carried by the bravest men on earth, the United States Navy Corpsman.

Great stuff!!
In light of Dan's statement as to the bravery of the Navy Corpsmen, I would recommend reading "The Flags of Our Fathers". It is a factual story of the Navy Corpman who helped raise the US flag on Iwo Jima, written by his son. The story covers all the men who were invloved in the flag raising and it is an outstanding read.
Not a big book at all, you can get it done in a couple of evenings. It is a very moving story and I was moved to tears by the sheer bravery of the wonderful, brave men in this story.
If you ever doubted "the greatest generation", I promise there will be no doubt when you finish this book.
